Thompson Clive has historical experience of managing
some eight funds for institutional investors, over the past 20 years.
Five of these funds have been successfully realised, and Thompson Clive
therefore currently manages three on-going funds for institutional investors
with a total net asset value at the time of writing of over £150M, distributed
as follows:
Thompson Clive International is a Jersey based
Unit Trust listed in Dublin which was formed in 1994 and which terminates
in 2004-6. It was established for European, North American and certain
international investors with committed capital of £30M. This fund focuses
on private equity investment in high growth life science and IT companies.
Thompson Clive Investments Plc is a UK listed
investment company formed in 1980 primarily for tax paying institutional
investors. It has over 800 shareholders of whom more than 200 are institutional,
net assets of around £70M and 45 investments. This fund focuses primarily
on private equity investment in high growth life science and IT companies.
In addition, it invests in public companies which have evolved from the
private equity sector.
Thompson Clive Growth Industries Fund is a Jersey
based Unit Trust listed in Dublin which was formed in 1997 with committed
capital of over £20M, and which terminates in 2007-9. This fund focuses
on public and near public stocks in the life sciences and IT sectors which
are considered to have substantial growth prospects.
Finally, Thompson Clive acts as syndicate leader and
provides management support in a number of syndications involving other
co-investing institutions.
